Lemon Drop Cookies

Oven 375.      Cover cookie sheets with parchment paper.

7 T butter

1 c sugar

2 large eggs

2 T lavender buds, cut slightly to release fragrance

2 t lemon zest

2 c flour

2 t baking soda

1/2 t salt

Cream butter, sugar and eggs.  Add lavender buds and lemon zest, and blend.

Measure 2 cups flour.  Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.

Add flour mixture to butter mixture.  Mix.

Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheets.

Bake 7 to 9 minutes.
